Kärcher steam cleaner: window-track return notes for SC 3 Deluxe Home buyers

I returned my Kärcher steam cleaner after one use. The window tracks looked clean while wet, then dried grey again—and the noise and drips didn't help.

One use was enough for me

There was dust all over the new home, and this seemed like a convenient thing to buy. But after using it once, I returned it.

What I liked

  1. It keeps supplying hot water, so I don’t have to keep washing a cloth by hand.
  2. The cable is quite long, and moving it around didn’t tire my hand.

What I didn’t like

  1. It had a plastic smell when it arrived. Perhaps that would have improved later.
  2. It was really loud. I tried it at night and felt it might disturb the neighbours!
  3. It dripped water unpredictably. To me, the principle felt a bit like a more powerful clothes steamer.
  4. I didn’t feel it got things especially clean. After spraying the window tracks, they looked OK while wet, but turned grey again as they dried. The dust was still there.

The window-cleaning vacuum in videos looks useful because it sucks the dirty water in. Has anyone used one and found it good?
