Yibao M1+ / Neakasa M1 Plus: one month with three cats

I used the Yibao M1+ for a month with three cats: its open design suited my 7.5 kg Ragdoll, while the waste drawer and app reduced daily scooping.

One Month With the Yibao M1+

Hello everyone, I’m Xiaoyu.

I have two six-year-old cats.

Last month, a small stray cat often came into our yard.

So I decided to bring it home and adopt it.

I was worried that three cats sharing one litter box might lead to fights.

So I bought another one.

After following a Xiaohongshu recommendation, I bought the Yibao litter box.

It has been a month, so I’m sharing my honest experience with everyone.

Why Another Litter Box Was Needed

I have two six-year-old cats. Last month, I also adopted a little stray. With one more cat, naturally we needed one more litter box. Let’s unbox it together.

Unboxing and Setup

This shipping box is huge. The big guy loves it and has been lying on it nonstop. Everything is packed really securely. Let’s see what’s inside. The manual, litter mat, power cord, and litter box are all neatly arranged. It also comes with two rolls of waste bags. The four support legs are installed. All done.

How the Cats Accepted It

I was worried the cats wouldn’t get used to switching to an automatic litter box. But they came over to try it as soon as it was set up. I immediately felt much more at ease. I’ve been using it for almost a month, so let me share my real experience. Let me share my real experience!!

Open Design and Cat Comfort

The Yibao litter box really looks great, and it doesn’t look out of place in the home. Its fully open design means even my 15-jin (about 7.5-kilogram) Ragdoll can turn around easily. It’s especially suitable for cats that won’t use an enclosed litter box. It also has infrared sensors, so there’s no need to worry about the cats’ safety at all.

Waste Drawer and Week Away

It has a large 11-liter waste drawer. A few days ago, I went away for a week. When I got back, I just had to lift out the waste-drawer bag and throw it away. It even gives you an automatic reminder when the waste drawer is full, making litter scooping much easier.

App Tracking and Remote Cleaning

The most convenient thing is that it can connect to a phone app! It identifies the cats by their weight. You can clearly see which cat used the litter box and how many times. You can also check how much litter is left.

You can also remotely control cleaning and litter leveling, so you really don’t have to scoop by hand anymore. It’s amazing!

The Owner’s Final Score

Overall, if 10 is a perfect score, I’d give it an 8. If you’re thinking of buying one, use this as a reference.

The owner identifies her product as the China-market Yibao M1+, which uses the Neakasa brand and Plus designation. The exact regional hardware and bundle identity are not established, so the regional products below are treated as corresponding Neakasa listings rather than confirmed identical units.

What the owner experienced

The owner added the Yibao M1+ after adopting a third cat, because she was concerned that three cats sharing one litter box might fight. Her account covers one month in a three-cat home, rather than a controlled comparison with another automatic litter box.

In the video, she says her 15-jin Ragdoll cat could turn around easily inside the open-top design. Fifteen jin is approximately 7.5 kg. She also reports that the cat accepted the box immediately after installation, although that is her household’s experience rather than a guarantee for every cat.

The owner says the waste drawer held enough for her to leave home for a week; when she returned, she only needed to remove and discard the tied waste bag. She also reports a full-drawer reminder, remote cleaning and leveling through the app, and an overall score of 8 out of 10.

Regional model and capacity checks

The EU Neakasa M1 Plus specification lists an open-top design, six pairs of infrared sensors, four weight sensors, 7.17 L of litter space and an 11.23 L waste capacity. These manufacturer specifications help identify the regional model, but they do not independently verify the owner’s reported week away or her cats’ comfort.

The EU listing gives a supported cat range of 1–15 kg and an entry height of 35.2 cm. That range includes the owner’s approximately 7.5 kg Ragdoll, but a listed weight range cannot establish that every cat will accept the box or that entry height will suit every household.

The official US, Canada and UK listing also describes the M1 Plus as open-top, with improved sealing and movement detection, but says the sealing claim is up to 95% leakage prevention under stated testing conditions. It should not be read as a guarantee against every urine leak, and the exact regional hardware remains uncertain.

What to check before buying

The official US listing permits clumping, scoopable litter and prohibits non-clumping litter. Buyers should confirm that their existing litter matches this requirement before switching, because the owner’s account does not identify the litter type she used.

The official US FAQ says automatic cleaning must be turned off and supervised in Kitten Mode for cats below 1 kg. A large waste drawer does not replace daily checks: the manufacturer’s conditional claims about intervals should not be treated as permission to leave cats or the drawer uninspected.

The video shows an app with weight-based cat recognition, visit records and litter-level information. The displayed records include cats weighing 6.2 kg and 6.5 kg, but those on-screen readings are part of the owner’s demonstration and do not establish accuracy across all cats or regional app versions.
