An automatic litter box can look like an easy win in somebody else’s home. Whether it earns its space in yours depends on what you want it to take off your hands. In this April 2026 video, 发财日记, an owner with three cats, compares three CATLINK models sold in mainland China: Pangbao (胖宝), the 5G camera version (5G 可视) and Dabai Pro (大白 Pro).

The owner’s distinction is straightforward: Pangbao handles the basic scooping job; the camera model adds a view of the litter bed; Dabai Pro offers a more elaborate setup with two cameras and optional accessories. This is one household’s comparison, with no stated period of ownership or controlled testing. Emptying intervals are the owner’s estimates.

Pangbao: an open bed and a lower starting price

At a little over RMB 600 when the video was made, Pangbao is the owner’s value pick. They describe its automatic scooping as reliable and like the open compartment: cats trying an automatic box for the first time can settle in, and larger cats have room to move.

The video gives the waste drawer capacity as 12 liters. The owner estimates about half a month between emptying for one cat. Their recommendation is for someone who mainly wants automatic scooping and has few demands for additional features. The quoted price is an April 2026 China-market reference.

The camera model: seeing what happened

“5G 可视” is the name used in the source video. Here, “camera model” refers to that product; the video does not confirm cellular connectivity.

The camera points into the litter bed. In the video, the owner uses the app to view toilet visits, urine clumps and stool, and suggests that this is especially useful with several cats or when keeping an eye on a cat’s digestion. The app shown labels the device Pro-Ultra.

The footage shows how the camera is used, but provides no accuracy results for health detection. The regional comparison below separates this model from similarly named products sold elsewhere.

Dabai Pro: more room, two cameras and optional extras

Dabai Pro gets most of the video’s attention. The owner likes the deeper compartment and wider entrance, which they feel are more comfortable for larger cats.

One camera looks into the box; the other can face an area where the cats spend time. The owner sees the outside view as a way to check on the cats while away, potentially replacing a separate room camera. The app supports individual cat profiles and displays visits. Cat-face recognition is described as a future update in the April video, so it should not be treated as a demonstrated feature of that review.

Ventilation for the cat room

The owner chooses an optional ventilation system for a cat room where the window is usually closed. The video shows installation accessories for several layouts, including window fittings and an air-conditioning opening. They describe installation as taking only a few minutes without extra tools, and say the system extracts odor and litter dust.

They also suggest it for humid areas and claim it will prevent insects. The video offers impressions of the setup, without measurements of those effects.

Automatic litter top-ups

The second selected accessory is an automatic refill attachment. Its stated four-liter reservoir takes two bags of the owner’s litter; bag sizes are not specified. They describe it as keeping the bed deep enough to reduce sticking when the litter level gets low.

The stated waste drawer capacity is 15 liters. The owner estimates around 20 days for one cat, or ten days to half a month for their three cats.

How the owner would choose

The useful question is which additional job you want the machine to do. A camera adds visibility; refill and ventilation accessories address different maintenance tasks. The video is strongly favorable to all three and offers little discussion of failures, cleaning effort or long-term reliability, so it is a limited basis for comparing those aspects.
