ANTHBOT mower: Buffalo and Couch grass first-use notes for Genie 600 buyers
I found ANTHBOT’s first run acceptable: it handled obstacles, mapped remotely more easily than expected, worked better on buffalo than couch grass, and climbed a slope.
I tested it, and the results were pretty good. The obstacle avoidance was also quite good. It worked better on buffalo grass than on couch grass. At first, I thought remote-control mapping would be difficult, but it was easier to operate than I expected. It can also climb slopes! I was initially worried that the grass clippings might be bad for the lawn, but after asking AI, I learned that they can actually benefit the lawn as natural fertilizer. I can finally free my hands!

The owner identifies the product as an ANTHBOT mower, but does not provide a full model number or capacity. The regional products below are same-brand references rather than confirmed matches for the Australian mower. In a reply, the author also mentions negotiating group-buy pricing; the post does not disclose compensation or an affiliate relationship.

| ANTHBOT mower (model not reported) | ANTHBOT Genie 600 (US) | This is a same-brand US reference, not the owner’s confirmed model. The official listing describes automatic and remote-control mapping, RTK and camera navigation, and up to 900 square metres with a 2.5 Ah battery. The owner’s exact model and capacity remain unknown. |

Model identification and mapping
The owner’s visible product identification establishes the ANTHBOT brand but not the exact model, battery, capacity or regional configuration. That limits direct comparison with the Genie 600 references. Official US and EU listings describe remote or manual/automatic mapping, which is consistent with the owner’s remote-control mapping experience, but does not prove that the tested mower has the same specification.
Grass performance and clippings
The owner reports that the mower performed better on buffalo grass than on couch grass during this first-use test. This is an individual result from the reported lawn, not a general grass-performance test. The owner also reports learning that returned clippings can act as natural fertilizer, but lawn guidance makes that benefit conditional: wet or excessively tall grass can leave clippings matted and capable of smothering grass.

Obstacle avoidance and slopes
The owner describes the obstacle avoidance as good and says the mower climbed a slope, but provides no obstacle protocol, slope measurement, duration or repeated-test result. The EU Genie 600 listing’s 45% or 24-degree maximum is a manufacturer rating for that regional reference, so it cannot quantify the Australian mower’s slope ability.
