Google Fitbit Air Fog: a week of color, sleep comfort and Coach access
I wore the Google Fitbit Air for a week: its battery lasted seven days, but Health Coach required changing my region before it worked.
At the end of August, I chose a niche, fashion-forward accessory for myself.
The main reason was that I liked the Fog color. It was described as green, but in person it looked more blue to me. Next to my mint-green accessories, it was clearly not green at all, although it was still very beautiful. Its biggest advantage is that I can stack it with bracelets and other hard accessories, and even wear it alongside a mechanical watch.
Battery life: it lasted exactly long enough for a week. After seven days without charging, the battery was at about 15%. Charging was also fast, taking roughly one hour to reach full.
Lightweight: I am not used to wearing anything while sleeping, so honestly it felt a little uncomfortable for the first two days. After I gradually got used to it, there was no problem at all. The shape of the Fitbit Air may also be less friendly to people with sensitive skin, so you may need to adjust the tightness.
Regarding AI Coach, I could not find any banner activating Premium in my Google Health app, so I contacted Google support. The support agent was very helpful and immediately activated a trial for me. When I opened it, I found that AI Coach was not available in my region. I searched across Xiaohongshu for a solution and found that I needed to change my region. I changed it from Hong Kong to Italy, and it took effect very quickly. After that change, it worked normally.
I did not use this AI feature very much, so I can only say that it was rather silly, as many people have said. The other functions are also very basic, but having one more item to check each day is still useful. It can show whether my mood during a meeting with my boss was completely calm and flat, or whether my heart rate was rising.
As an aside, I was surprised to learn that Google had acquired Fitbit in recent years. Fitbit used to be one of my favorite fitness-band brands.

The owner identifies the device as Google Fitbit Air, and the US and UK Google Stores list the same product name and family. The official pages confirm matching headline specifications, but they do not establish that account features, accessories or warranty terms are identical in every market.

A week of battery, with a personal comfort adjustment
The owner reached seven days with about 15% battery left and estimated roughly an hour to recharge. Google lists up to seven days of battery life and 90 minutes for a 0–100% charge; the owner's recharge estimate should not be read as a timed charge from empty.
Fitbit Air weighs 12 g with its band, but this owner still needed two nights to get used to sleeping with it. Someone who normally wears nothing on their wrist may need an adjustment period, and the owner found tightness worth adjusting for sensitive skin.
Health Coach access depends on the account region
The owner says Google support activated a trial, but the feature initially reported that AI Coach was unavailable in Hong Kong. Google’s supported-country list includes the US, Canada, UK, Germany and Italy, but not Hong Kong or mainland China. Buyers in an unsupported market cannot assume that owning the same hardware will provide the same Health Coach access.
The owner reports changing her account region from Hong Kong to Italy and then using the feature normally. That is an individual workaround account, not proof that changing regions is officially supported or that it will work for every account. Google also describes Health Coach as informational rather than medical advice and warns that AI can make mistakes.
Useful daily context, but modest expectations for the AI
The owner found the AI Coach rather silly and used it infrequently, while still valuing an extra daily item to check. Her reported benefit was contextual: the app could indicate whether her heart rate appeared calm or elevated during a meeting. This is her experience of the feature, not evidence that it can accurately identify mood or diagnose stress.
The owner considered the other functions basic, while the app screens show sleep, heart-rate, workout and readiness records. In the US and UK, setup requires Google Health and a Google account on Android 11+ or iOS 16.4+; syncing also needs Bluetooth LE, internet and location permission.
