My LAGOM P80: first burr cleaning after six months
Reviewed: OPTION-O LAGOM P80Regional reference: OPTION-O LAGOM P80 (United States)
I opened my P80 after six months of daily espresso use. There were fines around the edge, and the short supplied hex tool made avoiding the top dial awkward.
Use pattern: I mainly use it for home espresso, two to three times a day. I occasionally grind coffee for drip bags, too. When I took it apart today, it still looked fairly clean, with some fine grounds built up around the edges—probably because I mostly grind for espresso.
The magnetic design makes it quick to take apart and clean, and the experience was good. I only needed a hex screwdriver to remove two screws. By the way, the supplied hex screwdriver is too short… The process made it a little easy to scratch the surface of the top adjustment dial. After cleaning, I didn’t need to recalibrate it to zero.
Overall, the P80 is still a grinder I consider very good value for money. It’s also one I can move by myself without much effort.

The source identifies the grinder as LAGOM P80, the same model OPTION-O supplies to US customers. The exact burr configuration and electrical version of this unit are not stated.

What the first cleaning involved
After six months of use, mainly for espresso two to three times daily, the owner found the grinder fairly clean, with some fine grounds gathered around the edges. This is one person’s inspection under that use pattern, not a measure of retention or a cleaning interval for every user.
The owner removed two screws with a hex tool and found the magnetic assembly quick to access. The supplied tool felt too short and made it easy to catch the top adjustment dial. No zero recalibration was needed after this cleaning; that observation does not cover replacing the burrs.
Access and handling
The US reference is the same LAGOM P80. OPTION-O describes a magnetic burr mount and a one-piece upper assembly for cleaning access. Its screw-free burr removal refers to the magnetic burr itself, while the owner describes removing two screws to access the assembly.
OPTION-O lists an 8.1 kg grinder body. That gives context to the owner’s view that it is manageable to move alone; comfort lifting that weight is personal. The source does not establish its electrical version, so the 100–120 V and 220–240 V options should be distinguished.
