RingConn Gen 2 Air: an owner’s sizing, HarmonyOS and comfort notes
I found the RingConn Gen 2 Air comfortable through a full day and overnight, and my Huawei phone on HarmonyOS 6.2 worked with it—but sizing required a trial ring.
After debating it for a long time, I finally bought the RingConn Gen 2 Air at Sam’s Club.
Use impressions
- Sizing: I followed the measuring method in the instructions and chose a size based on my measurements, but it was much too large. Fortunately, Sam’s Club also sent a sizing ring, so I tried it on and exchanged the ring for another size. I had read many guides saying that the real ring would feel looser than the sizing ring, but that was not my experience. Choosing the size based on the sizing ring was just right.
- System compatibility: After reading guides and asking customer-service representatives on JD.com and Taobao, I was told that Huawei phones could only work with HarmonyOS 4.2. I therefore planned to use the ring with an iPhone. After it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it also worked on my Huawei phone running HarmonyOS 6.2. I compared the app data with the iPhone and have not noticed any difference so far. I do not need to carry two phones just for the ring.
- Wearing comfort: I wore it for a full day and found it very comfortable, almost as if I was not wearing anything. It caused no discomfort while I slept. I need to be a little careful when washing my hands with liquid or bar soap, or when applying hand cream, because the instructions say that too much residue may affect data accuracy.
- Price: The Sam’s Club price was much lower than the prices I saw on JD.com and Taobao, so I was very pleased with the purchase.

Models in your region
The owner used a RingConn Gen 2 Air, matching the same model listed by RingConn’s US store. The official listing gives the US version iOS 17+ and Android 10+ compatibility, but it does not establish HarmonyOS support, so the owner’s HarmonyOS 6.2 result should not be treated as a guaranteed feature for every regional purchase.

Use the sizing ring, not measurements alone
The owner found the instruction-based measurement substantially too large, then obtained a good fit by trying the Sam’s Club sizing ring. RingConn recommends trying its sizing ring for at least 24 hours, including overnight, so buyers should allow time for a trial rather than treating a quick measurement as conclusive.
The owner’s successful fit was based on one person’s finger and sizing exchange. It does not establish which size another buyer needs; the practical takeaway is to use the seller’s sizing process and check its exchange support before ordering.
HarmonyOS worked for this owner, but official support remains unconfirmed
The owner reports that the ring worked with a Huawei phone running HarmonyOS 6.2 and that the app showed no noticeable difference from the iPhone version at the time of comparison. This is an individual result, not a published compatibility guarantee.
RingConn’s US specifications list iOS 17+ and Android 10+ but do not establish HarmonyOS support. If you plan to use a Huawei phone, verify current app behavior, seller assistance and return terms locally because the official compatibility information does not confirm that configuration.
Comfort was strong in one full-day and overnight account
The owner found Gen 2 Air almost unnoticeable through a full day and comfortable during sleep. RingConn lists 2 mm thickness and 2.5–4 g depending on size, but the useful next step for fit is the 24-hour sizing trial.
The owner also said soap and hand cream require some care because the instructions warn that heavy residue may affect data accuracy. The account does not test how much residue causes a problem, so buyers should treat this as a maintenance precaution rather than a measured threshold.
Battery and feature expectations differ from the owner’s comfort test
The owner’s account confirms comfortable sleep wear, not the accuracy or completeness of sleep measurements. RingConn lists up to 10 days of battery life and approximately 90 minutes to charge for the Gen 2 Air, and says this model does not include the Gen 2 sleep-apnea monitoring feature.
RingConn lists no subscription and includes a wired charging dock with Gen 2 Air. If you want a portable charging case, check the exact bundle rather than assuming the Gen 2 Air package includes one.
