Shokz OpenDots ONE: four months of comfort and battery life
I have carried my Shokz OpenDots ONE since early August, often wearing one without its case for short trips; comfort and battery life have impressed me.
It really is my favorite pair of earphones of 2025!
I have used them since early August, and I always take them with me when I go out. The battery life is excellent. If I am only going out for a few hours, I do not even need to bring the case—I can simply leave one clipped on and go. I do not worry about the battery running out, and there is no discomfort. I finally do not need to take it off; when it is not playing sound, I forget that I am wearing an earbud.
The only problem is that I have seen many people say Shokz products fail once they are out of warranty. That will need time to verify. I will see how things stand after a year.

What the owner experienced
The owner used the earbuds from early August through the December 25, 2025 post and says they became an everyday item for going out. For trips lasting only a few hours, the owner could leave one clipped on without carrying the charging case, with no reported battery anxiety or discomfort.
The owner also says that, when no sound is playing, the earbud is easy to forget. This is a personal comfort observation from the owner’s use rather than a general performance conclusion for every wearer.
US specification and buying context
For the US model, Shokz lists OpenDots ONE as a clip-on open-ear earbud with Dolby Audio, up to 10 hours of playback per charge, up to 40 hours with the charging case, and IP54 protection for the earbuds. These are listed regional specifications, not measurements from the owner’s post.
The owner’s battery experience supports convenient short outings without the case, but it does not verify the official maximum runtime or the full case total. The source also raises concern about reports of failures after the warranty period; that concern remains unverified and should not be treated as a demonstrated defect.
Because the owner’s unit may be a Chinese-market SKU, buyers should confirm the local model number and service coverage before treating the US specifications or warranty expectations as directly applicable. Exact equivalence between the regional versions remains unconfirmed.
