Shokz OpenFit 2+: a month of long-wear comfort and a bulky case
I wore the Cloud White Shokz OpenFit 2+ for 4–5 hours at a time and found it comfortable and secure, though its charging case feels bulky in pockets.
Hello everyone, I’m Fili.
I recently bought the Shokz OpenFit 2+ in Cloud White and have used it for more than a month. I’d like to share my honest experience.
The points I liked most
Wearing comfort:
These earphones use upgraded Ultra-Soft Silicone, and they really are comfortable to wear for long periods. I often wear them for 4–5 hours at a time without my ears hurting or feeling hot. Sometimes, because I wear glasses, the ear hooks press slightly, but overall they are very comfortable. I sometimes even forget I’m wearing them and only notice when I look in the mirror. The ear-hook design is also stable, so they are unlikely to fall off while walking or running.
Sound quality:
The bass is powerful, while the mids and highs sound clear and natural. With Dolby Audio enabled, music and shows have a better sense of spaciousness. I originally thought open-ear earphones would have poor sound quality, but the actual experience completely exceeded my expectations. They are more than sufficient for everyday music listening and watching short videos.
Battery life:
A single charge lasts around 10–11 hours. I use them for about eight hours a day, including listening to music, watching short videos and chatting, and the battery is fully sufficient. When I get home, I simply put them back in the charging case. The value for money is good.
Minor drawback
The charging case is a little larger than I expected, so it is quite noticeable in a pocket. However, it is not heavy at all, feels light in the hand and is pleasant to handle.
Summary
If you often need to wear earphones for long periods but do not want the pressure of in-ear models, the OpenFit 2+ is one of the most comfortable open-ear earphones I have used so far.
Is anyone else considering open-ear earphones at the moment? Share what matters most to you, and I can discuss it with you.

Which regional version is represented
The owner’s experience comes from a Chinese-market OpenFit 2+ in Cloud White, while the linked regional documentation covers the US OpenFit 2+. Treat the US specifications as a regional reference rather than proof that every detail of the owner’s unit is identical.
For the US model, Shokz lists Dolby Audio, wireless charging, 9.4 g earbuds, IP55 earbuds, up to 11 hours of use per charge and up to 48 hours with the charging case. These figures are official listed specifications, not measurements from the owner’s month-long use.
Comfort and everyday use
The owner’s strongest finding is long-wear comfort: they regularly used the OpenFit 2+ for 4–5 hours without ear pain or heat, and found the ear hooks stable during walking or running. Glasses caused slight pressure on the hooks, so fit may depend on eyewear as well as ear shape.
The owner recommends it specifically for people who want extended wear without the pressure associated with in-ear earphones. That is an individual fit conclusion, not a guarantee for every wearer; the source does not report a formal exercise test or a comparison with named competing models.
Sound and battery trade-offs
In the owner’s everyday listening, bass was powerful and the mids and highs were clear and natural. They also found that enabling Dolby Audio improved the spaciousness of music and shows, and considered the sound sufficient for music and short videos.
The owner reported roughly 10–11 hours from one charge and about eight hours of daily use across music, short videos and chats, leaving enough battery for the day. This aligns with the US page’s up-to-11-hour claim, although the owner’s market version and test conditions are not fully identified.
The main practical compromise is the charging case: the owner found it more noticeable in a pocket than expected, even though it felt light and comfortable to hold. Buyers who carry the case in slim pockets should account for its bulk rather than its weight alone.
