Bambu Lab P1S: a first-week owner guide to printed accessories
I spent a week with the Bambu Lab P1S and mapped out useful printed accessories, including a waste bin, scraper and exhaust adapter, plus installation cautions.
There are many online lists of must-print projects for beginners, but most do not mention some of the problems involved. I am sharing my experience after using the printer for one week. You can search for the codes below in the Bambu Lab app to open the projects directly.
If you plan to install all the accessories mentioned in this post, you can buy the following items first
• 80 mm-diameter aluminum-foil exhaust hose
• Twenty 10×2 mm magnets and ten 10×3 mm magnets. They must be N52 magnets!
• Two exhaust-hose clamp rings
• Ten 3.9×2.3×6 ceramic nozzles
• Molecular-sieve desiccant
• Two Xiaomi temperature and humidity meters
————————
Update: The following accessories do not involve printing models and can be purchased first.
A. Vibration-damping feet
They can reduce machine movement and may improve the appearance of layer lines. The ones sold on Taobao are rather expensive, so they are optional.
B. Improved nozzle wiper
The original Bambu Lab wiper is widely considered inadequate. You can buy an improved dual-silicone wiper on Taobao.
C. Nozzle-cleaning needle
Buy one as a spare; sooner or later you will use it.

The details are below.
Waste bin [566772]:
It collects waste material. There is not much else to say: it is essential to print.
Build-plate scraper [976497]:
It is used to scrape away waste material or models. Use the blade and screws supplied with the Bambu Lab printer. Pay attention to the blade's installation direction, and make sure the blade does not rub against the build plate. If it is installed the wrong way around, reinstall it.
Window-screen exhaust attachment [729223]:
It is used to expel printing fumes. This needs special attention:
- The exhaust hose must be an 80 mm aluminum-foil hose. If you buy the transparent PVC type, it may be too heavy to stay attached.
- Buy several extra clamp rings, because the window-screen assembly also needs them.
- For the component attached to the machine's exhaust outlet, use the original long silver screws removed from the hotend assembly. I installed screws in only the upper, lower and right holes. Self-tapping screws offer a lot of resistance, but do not be afraid to apply force; once the thread has been formed, they will turn smoothly.
- You need 10×3 mm and 10×2 mm magnets. They must be N52 magnets so that the magnetic force is strong enough! If the magnets you buy are slightly larger than the reserved holes, hammer them in. If they can fit, glue them with 502 adhesive.
- Be very careful about the magnets' positive and negative poles.
- Place one window-screen component on the inside and one on the outside, with the screen clamped between them.
- For better exhaust performance, remove the activated-carbon box and cover inside the machine, then print and install a perforated activated-carbon-compartment cover.
4. Sliding-lid riser [1663543]:
This is the best riser there is. If you do not want anything elaborate, print this one. The author says it can be fitted directly into one spool and printed overnight, and that it fits perfectly. Highly recommended!

Before You Buy
Models in your region
The US Bambu Lab listing identifies the product as the P1S and separately lists P1S, P1S Combo and AMS 2 Pro Combo variants. The source title's “P1SC” should therefore be read as buying context for the P1S Combo rather than as a separate printer model. The official listing describes an enclosed chamber with cooling fans and an activated-carbon filter.

- What to know
- This is the printer identified in the owner’s account and the US regional listing. Bambu Lab also lists a P1S Combo bundle, but “P1SC” is not a separate printer model; confirm the included AMS equipment and current clearance guidance before treating the printed riser or exhaust projects as compatible with a specific bundle.
What the first-week account covers
The owner describes one week of use and focuses on practical printed additions rather than measured print-quality testing. The account recommends a waste bin for collecting scraps, a scraper for removing waste or models, and a sliding-lid riser for changing the space above the printer. Because the post does not provide a print log or independent measurements, its claims about overnight printing, fit and usefulness remain the owner's reported experience rather than a general performance result.
Accessory and installation trade-offs
The exhaust project requires an 80 mm aluminum-foil hose, clamp rings and specified magnet sizes; the owner says a transparent PVC hose may be too heavy to stay attached. The account also recommends forming threads in the mounting holes and forcing slightly oversized magnets into place, but these are the owner's modification suggestions, not manufacturer-verified procedures. Readers should treat them as a project-specific approach and check the printer's current documentation before modifying the enclosure.
The owner says to remove the original activated-carbon box and cover and replace them with a printed perforated cover for better exhaust. The US P1S listing identifies an activated-carbon filter as part of the original configuration, so removing it changes the supplied filtration arrangement; the post does not establish how the modification affects filtration, airflow, safety or warranty support.
What to verify before buying
The US listing distinguishes the P1S printer from the P1S Combo and AMS 2 Pro Combo bundles. The source account and its photographs do not establish the exact bundle, complete regional configuration or current accessory compatibility, so buyers should confirm which AMS hardware is included and whether the riser, dust-cover or exhaust project preserves the required clearance and airflow.
The owner also suggests vibration-damping feet, an improved dual-silicone wiper and a cleaning needle. The feet are described as optional and only possibly helpful for layer-line appearance, while the wiper and needle recommendations reflect the author's judgement; the account supplies no comparative test or manufacturer confirmation for those accessories.
