Automatic litter boxes can look great in someone else's home, then feel different when you buy one. You need to choose for your own household. We've used quite a few—most of the models out there. Today I picked three representative CATLINK models. Save this if you're unsure which to choose. To me, these are three tiers. Screenshot this summary.

Pangbao: no scooping for RMB 600+—great value to me. Related US model: Scooper Open-X. Its simple design handles automatic scooping reliably. The open compartment is easy for cats new to automatic litter boxes to get used to. Chubby and large-bodied cats have room inside, too. The 12-liter waste drawer can handle one cat for half a month with no problem. On a limited budget, with few extra features needed, this one is enough. The 5G camera version lets you watch toilet visits. Related US model: Scooper Pro Ultra.
The camera faces the litter bed, so you can see urine clumps and stool. You can check the app for changes in stool consistency or urine output. I think it better suits multi-cat homes, or cats with sensitive digestion. Dabai Pro: flagship features other automatic boxes lack. Related US model: Scoop Robot Pro. It's comfortable for cats and easier for me. The deeper compartment is different, and I think it suits how cats use the box. The larger opening gives bigger cats more room.
There are cameras inside and outside. I find that arrangement useful. Aim the outside camera where your cats spend time. You can watch them while away, saving the cost of a separate camera. Cat-face recognition is expected in a later update. The inside camera points into the litter box. Create a profile for each cat to track visits and unusual changes.

Another thing I like is that many of its features are optional add-ons. I'm putting this one in the cat room, where I usually keep the window closed, so I chose the ventilation system. Choose fittings for your windows or AC openings.
[Text: Ventilation kits: inward/outward-opening windows, AC openings/floor drains, left/right sliding doors/windows.]
The fittings are all supplied. Installation takes a few minutes, without extra tools. Once fitted, it extracts odors and litter dust. I think it suits humid southern areas, so insects won't breed inside. Dabai Pro suits my low-maintenance routine. After filling the litter, I'd rather leave it alone for half a month. So I added the automatic litter-refill attachment. Its four-liter container takes two bags of my litter. It keeps the litter at the right depth, preventing sticking caused by too little litter.
Trips away and short holidays are easier, too. The waste drawer holds 15 liters, enough for 20 days for one cat. With my three cats, ten days to half a month is no problem. Smart pet products keep adding features. Choose what your own home needs to avoid disappointment. For the most complete setup, I would choose Dabai Pro. For a first automatic box with basic needs: Pangbao. To watch your cat using the box: the 5G camera version.

Comparing models in North America and Europe
An open litter bed, a camera, or help with refilling: the three China models offer different ways to reduce daily chores. The US products below are design comparisons, with their own specifications and accessory packages; the sources do not establish exact regional counterparts. The video follows the China models in one home. Listings checked September 15, 2026.

|---|---|---|
| Pangbao | Scooper Open-X — CATLINK U.S. store | Comparable open-top design with a 12 L drawer. The U.S. page lists dual-band Wi-Fi and a one-year warranty; it also describes a paid multi-cat recognition unlock. |
| 5G camera version | Scooper Pro Ultra — CATLINK U.S. store | An inward-facing camera for watching litter-box visits. The US catalog advertises a 1080p camera and dual-band Wi-Fi. |

For Europe, the Catlink EU guide identifies Scooper Pro-X Ultra and Scoop Robot C07. Match the design and accessories to the local listing: the EU guide does not give a China-model counterpart for either name. For delivery and warranty service, check the seller’s terms for your country. Canadian listings are outside this comparison.
For a buyer comparing these designs, the owner’s experience helps identify which job matters: scooping, checking visits remotely or reducing litter top-ups. Match that priority to the exact local package. Confirm ongoing cloud-playback costs and accessory availability before paying for the camera or refill features. If importing a China-market model, ask the seller whether its app works in your country and where warranty repairs are handled.
Review Highlights
What the owner found
An automatic litter box can look like an easy win in somebody else’s home. Whether it earns its space in yours depends on what you want it to take off your hands. In this April 2026 video, 发财日记, an owner with three cats, compares three CATLINK models sold in mainland China: Pangbao (胖宝), the 5G camera version (5G 可视) and Dabai Pro (大白 Pro).
The owner’s distinction is straightforward: Pangbao handles the basic scooping job; the camera model adds a view of the litter bed; Dabai Pro offers a more elaborate setup with two cameras and optional accessories. Their emptying intervals are household estimates; the video does not say how long they have owned the boxes.
Pangbao (Scooper Open-X): an open bed and a lower starting price
At a little over RMB 600 when the video was made, Pangbao is the owner’s value pick. The on-screen summary recommends it for a single-cat household. They describe its automatic scooping as reliable and like the open compartment: cats trying an automatic box for the first time can settle in, and larger cats have room to move.
The video gives the waste drawer capacity as 12 liters. The owner estimates about half a month between emptying for one cat. Their recommendation is for someone who mainly wants automatic scooping and has few demands for additional features. The quoted price is an April 2026 China-market reference.
5G camera version (Scooper Pro Ultra): seeing what happened
The owner calls this model “5G 可视,” and the app shows Pro-Ultra. For the related US Scooper Pro Ultra, the store lists dual-band Wi-Fi; check the connection requirements for the model you buy.
The camera points into the litter bed. In the video, the owner uses the app to view toilet visits, urine clumps and stool, and suggests that this is especially useful with several cats or when keeping an eye on a cat’s digestion.
You can see how the camera helps the owner check visits and clumps. The video does not test the accuracy of health alerts.
Dabai Pro (Scoop Robot Pro): more room, two cameras and optional extras
Dabai Pro gets most of the video’s attention. The owner likes the deeper compartment and wider entrance, which they feel are more comfortable for larger cats.
One camera looks into the box; the other can face an area where the cats spend time. The owner sees the outside view as a way to check on the cats while away, potentially replacing a separate room camera. The app supports individual cat profiles and displays visits. Cat-face recognition was still a planned update in the April video. Check its current availability on your chosen model if that feature matters to you.
Ventilation for the cat room
The owner chooses an optional ventilation system for a cat room where the window is usually closed. The video shows installation accessories for several layouts, including window fittings and an air-conditioning opening. They describe installation as taking only a few minutes without extra tools, and say the system extracts odor and litter dust.
The owner expects the system to prevent insects in humid conditions; the video reports no measured result.
Automatic litter top-ups
The second selected accessory is an automatic refill attachment. Its stated four-liter reservoir takes two bags of the owner’s litter; bag sizes are not specified. They describe it as keeping the bed deep enough to reduce sticking when the litter level gets low.
For the China-market Dabai Pro, the owner states a waste drawer capacity of 15 liters and estimates around 20 days for one cat, or ten days to half a month for their three cats. The US Scoop Robot Pro capacity conflict is noted in the regional comparison above.

The useful question is which additional job you want the machine to do. A camera adds visibility; refill and ventilation accessories address different maintenance tasks. Before choosing Pangbao (Scooper Open-X), the 5G camera model (Scooper Pro Ultra), or Dabai Pro (Scoop Robot Pro), look for longer-term accounts of cleaning the box and dealing with faults. Those day-to-day costs receive little attention in this favorable video.
