I use three cold-brew bottles for different jobs: HARIO, ASVEL and TIMEMORE
Reviewed: HARIO Filter-in Coffee Bottle FIC-70, ASVEL cold-brew jug 1.1L (source SKU unspecified), TIMEMORE Icicle Cold Brewer 600mlRegional reference: HARIO Filter-in Coffee Bottle FIC-70 (United States); TIMEMORE Icicle Cold Brewer 600ml (United Kingdom)
I use HARIO for its looks, ASVEL for cold-brew tea, and my compact TIMEMORE bottle for carrying coffee to work; each has trade-offs.
It’s the season for cold-brewing everything again. A few days ago, I shared a way to make cold-brew coffee without a cold-brew bottle; today, I’m sharing some proper cold-brew gear.
I use all three of these bottles regularly. The HARIO looks great and is my favorite; the ASVEL has a larger capacity, so I usually use it for cold-brew tea. I recently bought the TIMEMORE because it’s compact, easy to put away and carry, and I can take it to work after brewing. Each has pros and cons, which I’ve written about above for reference.

Filter depth and the work of washing it
The TIMEMORE Icicle (UK) has a filter that reaches the base. In the annotated comparison, the owner values that reach for small doses, but finds the narrow tube needs a dedicated brush. The ASVEL jug’s shorter, higher basket led the owner to use at least 600 ml upright or 400 ml on its side. Those are the owner’s immersion observations, rather than different rated capacities.
