HarveyArc Water Softener: Two to Three Months of Scale and Skin-Feel Changes

I used a HarveyArc water softener for two to three months: less scale on bathroom glass and taps, but it took two to three weeks to get used to the slippery feel.

A modern kitchen island with an open oak storage cubby next to white drawers and a sink. Inside the cubby is a compact gray and white HarveyArc water softener unit, a caddy with cleaning sponges and brushes, and a bag of Harvey water softener salt. Overlaid at the top is bold Chinese text formatted as a hashtag.

I have been using the HarveyArc water softener for two to three months. My overall experience is that it is genuinely great!

✅ It does not take up space in the kitchen because it can be installed under the stairs.
✅ There is genuinely no scale on the bathroom glass or taps anymore.
✅ I do not know whether it is just my imagination, but I seem to lose less hair when washing it.
✅ When I first had it installed, I kept feeling that I could not rinse properly when showering or washing my hands. Everything felt slippery, and my skin no longer felt tight or dry. It took me two or three weeks to get used to it.
✅ I have heard that the scale already inside the water heater will gradually disappear.
I originally had reverse-osmosis filtered drinking water. After that system broke, I installed a Harvey filter directly.

☺️ If anyone would also like to have one installed, you can ask me for a referral code. We can all receive 15 bags of free salt!

The owner names HarveyArc but does not provide a full model number or generation. Current HarveyArc options include WiFi salt monitoring, but it is unclear whether the owner’s 2023 installation includes it. The owner's replacement drinking-water filter is unspecified and should not be assumed to provide reverse-osmosis filtration.

What the owner's experience covers

After two to three months with HarveyArc in the UK, the owner says bathroom glass and taps no longer showed scale. That is an individual household observation, not a universal performance result. The owner also describes a two- to three-week adjustment period to the slippery, less-dry feel of softened water.

The owner says hair loss seemed reduced when washing their hair, but presents this as uncertainty rather than a confirmed result. The report that existing water-heater scale may gradually disappear is hearsay in the original account, not a result the owner says they measured.

Installation and drinking water

The owner says the softener can be kept under the stairs rather than taking kitchen space. UK buying guidance says installation should be planned around water hardness, plumbing, pressure, available space and household usage; it also recommends retaining a suitable unsoftened drinking-water supply.

The owner's reverse-osmosis system failed and was replaced with an unspecified Harvey drinking-water filter. Because no filter model or filtration specification is given, readers should not treat that replacement as equivalent to the original reverse-osmosis system.

Salt and current UK identification

The current UK HarveyArc guidance specifies Mini Curve Salt Blocks, shaped for the HarveyArc salt space, and says they need to be replenished regularly. Buyers should confirm the installation's salt requirements and ongoing replenishment routine rather than assuming that any water-softener salt will fit.

The owner mentions a referral code offering 15 bags of free salt; this is part of the source account's disclosed referral incentive, not an independently verified purchase price or ownership cost. The official UK source identifies the current HarveyArc, but the owner's 2023 generation and configuration remain unspecified.
