My Coffee Plus French press and MAVO Snow Meet: two different milk-foaming trade-offs

Reviewed: Coffee Plus Glass French press (source model unspecified), MAVO Snow Meet Milk FoamerRegional reference: MAVO Snow Meet Milk Foamer (United States and Europe)

I compared a Coffee Plus French press with the MAVO Snow Meet: one has clearer graduations and sturdier parts, while the other has a longer plunger.

The owner’s Coffee Plus French press, holding tea on the left, stands beside a MAVO Snow Meet milk foamer on the right. Both have clear glass bodies and light-colored lids; the source overlay calls them two little cuties.
A product comparison photo shows two clear glass press pots on a wooden counter: the left pot contains dark liquid and has a fine milliliter scale, while the empty pot on the right has larger 100, 200, and MAX markings. A speech-bubble label highlights the difference in their graduations.

Today I’m sharing two popular milk-foaming pots.

The Coffee Plus one is actually a French press. Compared with MAVO’s Snow Meet milk foamer, it has some clear advantages: detailed graduations make it useful for more purposes, and its materials and construction feel relatively sturdy. The lid doesn’t wobble when it’s on. It comes with an extra filter and a very handy coffee spoon, and the part connecting the filter to the central shaft is thoughtfully designed. But the shaft isn’t long enough—because it’s a French press—so the filter can’t reach the bottom. When I froth milk, though, I don’t get the feeling that the lower layer is always being missed.

MAVO’s model is designed specifically for foaming milk, so its graduations are simpler. Overall, it feels lighter. The pot is tall, which makes me less worried about milk spilling over while frothing. The shaft is long, so I’m less worried about the foam being uneven. The lid doesn’t feel very secure and can wobble while I froth. That may not affect the foam, but it does affect how enjoyable it is to use.

In short: if you’re foaming milk, the shaft on the Coffee Plus French press is too short, so you could consider its dedicated milk foamer instead. MAVO’s Snow Meet milk foamer normally sells for 58 yuan; you could wait for a major sale and add it to a bundle, bringing the price to about 38 yuan.

A French press versus a dedicated milk foamer

The Coffee Plus caption and annotated photo say the filter cannot reach the bottom, and the conclusion treats the shaft as too short for frothing. One sentence nevertheless says the lower layer did not feel missed. That inconsistency limits what can be concluded about foam uniformity; the physical reach comparison remains visible.

The owner felt less concerned about spills and uneven foam with MAVO’s taller vessel and longer shaft, but reported a wobbling lid where the Coffee Plus lid felt stable. The post gives no milk quantity, pumping count or measured foam comparison.
