NANK OE MIX2 and Oladance OWS Pro: I found a lighter fit versus longer battery life

Reviewed: NANK OE MIX2, Oladance OWS ProRegional reference: NANK OE MIX2 (Mainland China); Oladance OWS Pro (France; US/Canada compliance documentation)

I used NANK OE MIX2 and Oladance OWS Pro for nearly a month, comparing long-wear comfort, sound, AI features and battery life.

A while ago, I bought two open-ear headphones: NANK OE MIX2 and Oladance OWS Pro. I have used them for nearly a month. Their prices were not very different, but they feel noticeably different in use, so I am sharing my experience for anyone considering open-ear headphones.

First, NANK OE MIX2 is genuinely light. The manufacturer says it weighs 7 g, and it really does feel light. The ear hook does not put noticeable pressure on my ears, so wearing it feels almost effortless. I can wear it for three or four hours without any problem.

Its sound is natural, with an overall balanced character. It does not sound boomy or sharp, which I personally like. One especially unexpected feature is that it also has an AI function, which is convenient to use. It is excellent value.

Oladance OWS Pro has a very distinctive Mobius-ring design, which I quite like. It has a ceramic material, but it is somewhat heavy, so I cannot wear it for as long. It does stay securely in place, though.

This model handles some details in the sound particularly well, and its immersion is strong, making listening feel very engaging. However, it does not have an AI function. Its battery life is very long: I can use it for nearly a week, even with frequent use.

Overall, both are good. If you prefer something lighter, need to wear it for long periods and want to use it across different situations, choose NANK OE MIX2. If you have a larger budget and care more about highly refined sound and battery life, choose Oladance OWS Pro. It depends on your needs.

Long wear: lightness made the difference

The owner wore NANK OE MIX2 comfortably for three or four hours, while finding Oladance OWS Pro secure but heavier. The quoted 7 g for OE MIX2 remains the owner’s reported manufacturer figure. Oladance’s Japanese specification gives 13.8 g per OWS Pro earbud and describes an optical coating that creates a ceramic-like finish, rather than a solid ceramic body as the owner describes it.

Sound and AI serve different priorities

The owner liked OE MIX2’s balanced sound and convenient AI feature, and preferred OWS Pro for detail and immersion. NANK’s China catalog confirms AI and spatial audio. OWS Pro’s regional manual documents a connected voice assistant, which is different from proving an equivalent built-in AI service. For a US or European import of OE MIX2, confirm app access and support with the seller.

A week of use is not a continuous-playback measurement

The owner’s near-week of frequent OWS Pro use does not specify listening hours or case recharging, and there is no comparable OE MIX2 battery run. Oladance’s Japanese maximum claims are 16 hours from the earbuds and 58 hours including the case, depending on use. Those figures help set charging expectations without turning this account into a measured endurance comparison.
