Hi, I’m Xiaoqiu. I’ve noticed that so many of my friends and coworkers use capsule coffee machines. And without a doubt, the brand I see most often is Nespresso, the Swiss pioneer of capsule coffee machines. With the New Year approaching, Nespresso has launched some new products. This is the Vertuo Pop+ coffee machine in titanium silver. It also has a nickname: the New Year “Lying Silver.” The series also has a new capsule gift set for the New Year, which I’ll show you later.

Vertuo Pop+ versus the earlier Vertuo V5

This coffee machine and the V5 I used before are both part of the Vertuo series. They both use barcode recognition and centrifugal extraction, but this one also has some upgrades. For example, the water tank has moved from the back to the side, and its capacity has increased from 0.56 liters to 1.1 liters. The design has also been upgraded to a more refined titanium silver with a stronger metallic look. Even the lock and drip tray details have been upgraded to metal.

But whatever the coffee equipment, the goal is to bring out the flavor of the coffee beans. Especially with capsule coffee machines, the capsules are crucial. Nespresso’s capsules come in Nespresso’s capsules come in so, so many flavors.

Centrifugal extraction and the demonstrated flavor

Place the capsule in the machine and press Start. The machine rotates to read the barcode, then extracts the coffee using the parameters matched to that capsule. As I mentioned earlier, this machine uses centrifugal extraction, so the coffee comes out with a dense, rich layer of crema. you can take out the matching Aeroccino 4 milk frother, and pour in about 250 milliliters of milk. Set the milk frother to Latte mode, and wait for it to froth the milk automatically. At the same time, you can choose a slightly higher-intensity espresso capsule, such as this Altissio espresso capsule.

Put it in the coffee machine. Place the prepared milk foam under the machine to catch the coffee directly. Wait for 40 milliliters of espresso to be extracted, and you’ll have a latte that looks and tastes great. Overall, it has flavors reminiscent of chocolate and nuts. Besides two hot-foam modes, this milk frother can also make cold foam and heat milk, so it’s quite practical. You can make an iced cappuccino or something similar in summer.

Regular and decaffeinated Altissio capsules

Of course, if you want to try espresso, you can also choose these two. They have the same intensity, but one is regular Altissio and the other is decaf Altissio.
