Philips NA565: cooking 1 kg of ribs and cleaning up afterward
Two days into owning my Philips NA565, I squeezed in 1 kg of ribs and loved the result. Cleanup feels easier, though I still have some washing to do.
Two days with the NA565
I’ve had my new air fryer for two days and used it on both days. Overall, it’s been pretty convenient. The two biggest attractions for me were the self-cleaning feature and having enough room to put skewers straight in. I hadn’t seen an air fryer bigger than this one.
The self-cleaning really is quite useful. It still needs a little manual cleaning, but for someone lazy about washing up like me, it feels as though it takes away 90% of the hassle.
My first batch of ribs
Today I made air-fryer ribs. It was my first time roasting ribs, and somehow I pulled it off! A little barbecue dipping seasoning at the end was really nice. Finally, I don’t have to heat oil in a pan and deal with it splattering everywhere. With a bit of squeezing, this basket held 1 kg (2.2 lb) of ribs.

The German listing specifies a ceramic-coated cooking basket and says its removable parts are dishwasher-safe. For buyers who want easier washing, that is useful alongside the steam function. These details apply to the German NA565/02; check the exact regional package when ordering. Official pages checked on 15 September 2026.
Our Take
Room for ribs and cleaning afterwards
For buyers considering NA565/92 (UK) or NA565/02 (Germany), the owner’s NA565 shows why the wide basket matters: they fitted 1 kg of ribs and said the first batch cooked successfully. If you often cook long skewers or larger pieces, compare their size with the usable basket space. The divider is useful when the meal calls for separate compartments instead.
The self-cleaning feature made washing up feel much easier for this owner, but they still needed to do some manual cleaning. Their 90% estimate describes that relief, rather than a measured reduction in cleaning time. Plan for some washing after the cycle.
This was a two-day first impression with no cooking time stated. One photo shows 200°C on the display, but the source does not explicitly link that setting to the ribs. Follow the instructions for your regional model and adjust for your own batch.
