I installed the Waterdrop WD-15UA in five minutes under a condo sink

I installed the Waterdrop WD-15UA under my parents’ condo sink in five minutes. It came with two hoses, and I noticed no meaningful change in water flow.

A Waterdrop online product listing shows a black cylindrical under-sink water filter with two coiled metal-braided hoses against a white background. The page header includes the Waterdrop logo, navigation icons, and a breadcrumb for single-stage undersink filtration systems.
A promotional image shows an under-sink water filtration system connected to a kitchen faucet. Text says it provides 24-month protection, meets a whole family’s daily water needs, and has a capacity of 16,000 gallons.

I installed the Waterdrop 15UA at my parents’ home over Boxing Day. Space is limited, and the condo did not need a large filter, so I chose this affordable single-stage model. Once installed, it can effectively remove sediment, rust, residual chlorine, odors and some heavy metals while retaining minerals beneficial to the body. Connected to the kitchen’s cold-water supply, the water can be drunk directly.

Installation was very easy. It came with two hoses that simply screw on, and I finished the job myself in five minutes. The filter is also compact—about the size of two water bottles.

After installation, the water came out quickly, with basically no difference from before.

With the WATER111 code, I paid a little over $70 after tax.

The Canadian order identifies the owner’s filter as a Waterdrop WD-15UA. Waterdrop’s US product page lists the WD-15UA as a direct-connect carbon filter for an existing faucet and cold-water line, establishing a same-model regional comparison. The owner’s installation and flow impressions are personal observations, not filtration or flow-rate tests.

A quick installation, with a limited flow check

The owner reports completing the installation in five minutes using the two supplied hoses, then found the filter compact enough for a small condo kitchen. That is one installation experience; the source does not specify plumbing details that would show whether every under-sink setup will be equally straightforward.

The owner noticed no meaningful change in water flow after installation, but did not measure the rate. Waterdrop lists a 0.75-gallon-per-minute rated flow for the US WD-15UA, which is a specification rather than a result from the owner’s Canadian installation.

What the filtration claims do—and do not—establish

The owner claims the filter removes sediment, rust, residual chlorine, odors and some heavy metals while retaining minerals. No water test is included to verify removal or drinking-water safety. Waterdrop describes the US WD-15UA as a carbon direct-connect system, not reverse osmosis, and says it is not intended for significant TDS removal.

The Canadian order and the current US listing

The Canadian order screenshot identifies WD-15UA and advertises a 16,000-gallon capacity, while a related promotional image says 24 months. The current US WD-15UA listing gives 19,000 gallons and up to 24 months, subject to the applicable filter, water and use conditions. These are dated product claims, not measured capacity or a long-term result from this installation.

The checkout shows CAD $71.19 after tax with WATER111. That is the owner’s historical Canadian order; it does not establish a current price or an active discount.
